Our favorite smoothie recipes will ensure that you consume, in liquid form, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables that are packed with antioxidants, vitamins and fibre, guaranteed to send your energy levels soaring and give your immune system a mega boost.

Vitamin C Bomb Smoothie

Why – vitamin C is not only good for your body boosting your immunity. The skin needs it to activate fibroblasts, these active firbroblast are the cells that make healthy collagen and healthy elastin, they make more fibroblasts and also to lower the levels of injuring enzymes in the dermis (lower layer of the skin)that cause thinning and sagging. This forms of Vitamin C is also the most prolifically found in the epidermis (the top 4 layers of the skin) and is the skins most important anti oxidant. The effects of Vitamin C can be seen on all skins regardless of their age or the amount of sun damage.

So taking it in orally does not effect your skin directly like applying topically, but long term boosting your body with good nutrients does effect the skin. Having a better nutritional overall healthy and glow.

Ingredients list:

1/4 cup Pineapple

1/4 cup coconut water

1 x table spoon chia seeds

1 x banana

1 table spoon vitamin C powder

Simply process all the ingredients together in a nutribullet and serve in a tall glass.

1 ½ cups unsweetened almond milk

½ cup fresh or frozen strawberries

½ cup fresh or frozen raspberries

½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries

2 tsp oats

1 scoop of natural whey protein powder

Whizz all together in a  blender until smooth.

Not only does this pink drink look and taste good, but it’s oh so good for your health. Blueberries are rich in polyphenols that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties, and help protect your skin against sun damage as well as detoxify. Raspberries and strawberries contain ellagic acid that cleans up free radicals, and binds with certain cancer causing molecules to render them inactive.
